2012 AATYC Conference Proposal Submission

AATYC invites member institutions and conference sponsors to share best practices and techniques by submitting a proposal for topics appropriate for two-year college personnel. 

Description of a Breakout Session:

Each breakout session will be 50 minutes and will include a screen, podium and theater style seating for at least 25 people.  Panels with a mix of multiple colleges, organizations, partners or presenters are encouraged. Space is limited. There may be as many as 15 breakout sessions at one time (times to be announced). 

Description of a Poster Session:

A poster session is an opportunity for one or several presenters to share information about a program, project, or study by developing a display on a board.  Several posters are available at one time with the presenter(s) available to talk informally about the project with interested participants. The poster may include printed materials, graphics and additional handouts. Use of audiovisual equipment is not permitted.

The posters will be displayed in the exhibit hall Sunday evening, October 14th and all day Monday, October 15th, but they only need to be manned during designated times (to be announced).  The poster space is a 4x8 foot board with an 8 foot table in front of it for handouts.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS JUNE 1st

Terms and Conditions

  • You will be notified via email by July 1, 2012 whether your proposal is accepted.
  • All presenters must register for the conference and pay the registration fee.
  • For Sponsors: Registration fee is included with your sponsorship.
  • Breakout sessions space is limited.  Preference is given to proposals that promote effective and innovative teaching and learning practices, emphasize collaborative approaches, and provide useful information, skills or ideas for two-year college leaders, faculty and staff.
