Jill Johnson National Park Community College New HealthIT Workforce Training Program By 2015 everyone will be required to have Electronic Health Records (EHR). The work required to reach this goal is expected to create a high demand in several types of Health Information Technology (IT) professions. The EHR project will provide quality and efficiency, while maintaining privacy and security of medical information. NPCC has implemented a completely online, non-degree certificate program designed for those with a medical or IT background and is designed to be completed in six months or less for full time students. The Health IT program will provide a pool of qualified workers with both medical and IT skills to aid in the transitional process to electronic health records. Upon completion of the chosen health care tract the student will receive a partial/full stipend for tuition reimbursement, until stipends are expended, and will be eligible to sit for the national EHR competency exam. NPCC is currently offering training in the following health care tracts:
